As final build for this year I choose Pearl 3 Preamplifier . I skip build of Pearl I and Pearl II and can not compare it however at first sight, input stage is cloned from Pearl II (if something is good do not change it 🙂 ) . It have a lot of component , no trimmers and after put supply it started to work immediately . I tried to follow original design and it worth due to did not have issues with looking for mistakes .All resistors on board are metal film however I marked resistors where are recommended to put Vishay Dale (they have bigger housing on pcb) .
